Directory as a Service (DaaS) Platform
The DaaS Platform provides service providers with a simple directory-based solution that allows its customers to connect with one another without revealing the actual connectivity details of the target subscriber. Individuals can add ‘click to text’ or ‘click to call’ widgets to their existing profiles, be it with a social networking site, their own webpage or via their telecommunication provider. In addition, the cloud-based platform allows service providers, corporations or communities to create a simple directory platform that allows for better communication among members/customers/employees through private directory listings.
Private ‘Click to Talk’ Widget
This feature allows individuals to connect with others via the ‘click to talk’ widget without the need of knowing the target subscriber’s phone number. The service first calls the target subscriber and then calls the callers and connects the two parties together without revealing the actual contact information of the target subscriber.
Private ‘Click to Text’ Widget
Similar to the ‘click to talk’ widget, this feature allows individuals to simple select on the ‘click to text’ widget and send a text message to the target subscriber. The target subscriber to choose to receive a SMS, email or instant message on the appropriate devices that he/she has.
Contextual listings
The solution allows individuals to control and manage their own directory listing or contextual alias within the community or group they belong in. Individuals can create multiple listings, depending on the nature of their groups. Such directory listings can be as follows
- Professional listing – (Steve at IBM Consulting)
- Role based listing – (IT Technology, HP, Atlanta)
- Marketable listing – (Best Pizza in Boston)
- Personal listing – (Les at Red Lions Club)
- Social network listing – (Facebook.com/wildman)
Individuals can then decide how they want to receive their communication, via the different devices (e.g., mobile phone, landline phone) and communication methods (e.g., voice, SMS, IM, email) they have.
ccAlert Mass Notification Service
The ccAlert Mass Notification Service provides the public health, safety and emergency responder and education communities with a private, real-time communication tool. The solution allows individuals to send group messages and emergency alerts while allowing members to customize how they are found within a community or group. Individuals can create ‘role-based’ directory listings that allow for internal call connection based on roles people have within the group. Sample connectivity search includes:
- Send message to “Fire Chief, Mid County Rescue Squad”
- Send an Urgent message to “Night Shift group, Clarkson Fire Department”
The technology enables private, group messages via multiple connectivity channels including wireless, landline, email, instant messaging, VoIP, text, chat… instantly.
AdvertDA Advertising Solution
The CCL AdvertDA Advertising Solution provides businesses with an effective ad channel directed at targeted community groups, based on the way they communicate with one another within the groups they belong to.
The AdvertDA Solution allows merchants to provide ‘click to talk’ or ‘click to text’ widgets on their appropriate web or mobile sites that allow for prospective customers to connect with them directly. Better than a simple ‘click through link’, individuals can connect directly with a merchant about a product or service via voice call or SMS message. A merchant is then charged a directory-based connectivity fee for each connection.
