How Our Solution Works
What it does
The Context Connect Solution allows for a neutral connectivity channel to be established
between carriers upon which, application based solutions are installed to
increase average revenues per user for all carrier business units.
Context Connect’s Mobile Connectivity Solution is complementary to existing directory
assistance services and directory solutions because;

The application can be added to the existing DA application as an enhanced
service feature with no major investment requirement.

Market research indicates that people want their mobile phone number listed
under a privacy structure, which they control.

How it works
The solution allows people to connect to their personal and business contacts in
a way that is natural and easy to use. It does this by allowing customers to be
located by simple word driven (contextual) listings and to create and manage
their own listings. The carriers can also create unique listings for
subscribers in order to facilitate provisioning the directory.
The Context Connect Application allows calls to be connected to customers without the
Directory Enquiry service needing phone numbers or key customer details in
order to connect calls.

The key aspects of our solution that enable it to address and overcome
Current Challenges are as follows.
Neutral platform that benefits all Service Providers
The Context Connect application allows access to information for customers that belong to
different Service Providers. Customers can expect to find and connect to any
mobile or fixed device. Connectivity between all Service Providers is
increased.
Service Providers’ valuable customer data is protected
The Context Connect application is comprised of only the subscriber listings,
not customer information or customer phone numbers, unless they want to provide
additional data. All calls to a mobile or fixed line phone are a direct connect
with data lookups occurring behind the provider network.
Context Connect is a 'powered by' model, expanding the Telco brand
All customer interactions are through their Service Providers portal, extending
and solidifying the relationship that each Service Provider has with its
customer base.
No fixed location for customers
The Contextual Directory enables a customer to have multiple listings and to
decide how their number is listed. This makes it easy for them to be located in
a natural way.
Customers control their listings
The Contextual Directory allows the customer to control their connectivity
information. Customers only need to give out a listing, which is easy for their
associates to remember. For the first time, Service Providers can encourage
their customers to participate in a directory while maintaining their privacy.
The more customers that participate in the directory then the greater the
number of calls generated.
Mobile devices have no fixed address or context. The Context Connect application enables a
customer to have multiple listings for personal or business related uses this
allows the subscriber to be found in a natural way by the people who need to
find them.
Pre paid customers want to be involved
In the Contextual Directory there is no distinction between pre paid and post
paid customers. This enables pre paid customers to easily register themselves
and participate in the directory. 68% of subscribers in a calling party paid
environment want to participate in a directory if they can control who can
reach them.
Platform for value added services
Our solution provides Service Providers with a base on which to build additional
value added services for customers. These applications provide immediate
revenues without requiring an investment in infrastructure.
Enabling directory automation
The Contextual Directory provides the rigorous data structures needed for
directory automation allowing voice recognition and WAP to actually work.
Enabling smart services
Contextual Directory Enquiry provides the carrier with the opportunity to
increase ARPU (average revenue per user) by introducing a range of smart
services over the platform that would not be possible or useful if offered by a
single Service Provider.
Getting started
A Contextual Directory service is as simple to start as traditional directories.
The steps to establish the service are as follows...
Roll in known listings
The Contextual Directory can be populated the same way as a traditional
directory. The directory can be populated from known listings such as name and
address. The listings can be either traditional listings or contextual listings
created from existing subscriber information.
This provides an immediate benefit over traditional directories.
Attract remaining customers
The enhanced privacy features allow current fixed line subscribers who are
ex-directory an opportunity to better manage their connectivity without giving
up privacy or control. They can now be attracted into the Directory.
Give customers control
Customers have control over their directory listings. Customers can create and
maintain multiple listings on their provider’s portal, contact centre or on
their phone.
Enable next generation services
When the Service Provider is ready, they can enable additional value added
services.
