Sunny Ahn, Chief Executive Officer

Sunny is a founder of Context Connect and leads the company’s strategic and corporate development activities. Prior to Context Connect, Mr. Ahn co-founded Takeaclass, a database service company focused on providing marketing and procurement services for over 800 educational institutions, which was sold to Mindedge in 2001.  Sunny has held senior management consulting positions for Ernst & Young and GeoPartners Research (sold to Adventis in 1999), where he developed corporate strategies for such firms as AT&T, Nortel, Qualcomm, HP and SoftBank.  He held marketing positions for the SAS Institute focused on directory and database solutions and was a database analyst within the Internal Medicine Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital.  Sunny holds patents in the areas of directory/connectivity services and serves on the Boards of several technology and telecommunications-related companies. As an industry thought-leader, he frequently appears as a speaker at national and global directory and telecommunications conferences and has testified in front of the US House of Representatives on the topic of privacy and directory services.  Sunny was an academic researcher at the MIT Sloan School of Management and received his Bachelor’s degree (cum laude) from Harvard University.

 

Rod Drury, Chief Technology Officer

Rod is a founder of Connect Connect and leads the company’s product development and technology strategy.  He was a founder and CEO of Aftermail, an enterprise email archiving solution, which was sold to Quest Software (NASDAQ:QSFT) for $45 million.  He was Chief Technology Officer for Advantage Group, an Australasia eCommerce public company specializing in web services and payment applications.  Rod co-founded Glazier Systems Limited, a software and consulting company specialising in Microsoft-based Intranet, Extranet and Internet development, which he sold to Advantage Group in 1999. Prior to Glazier, Rod established an application development team specializing in custom ‘line of business’ solutions for Ernst & Young.  He also worked on the development and implementation of call processing and billing software for both Telecom New Zealand and NYNEX.  Rod was New Zealand’s first representative on Microsoft’s worldwide Regional Director program from 1997 to 2000 and a Microsoft MVP.  Rod is a global expert in directory and database solutions and software as a service (SaaS) implementations.  Rod has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.

 

Eggert Dagbjartsson, Managing Director, Equity Resource Investments

Eggert is the Managing Director at Equity Resource Investments (ERI), an investment firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Eggert has served as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer since 1990 and assumed responsibility for running the firm in 1996.  He has responsibility for directing the firm’s investment activities and oversees the sourcing, analysis, valuation, pricing, negotiation and execution of transactions in which ERI engages. During Eggert’s tenure, ERI has substantially increased the scope of its investment activities and has pioneered the application of many innovative financial strategies in its real estate investment process.  He has served or currently serves on the board of directors of Beacon Communities, LLC, Metatomix, Flaga hf, and BioStratum, Inc.  Prior to joining ERI, Eggert attended Harvard College, where he pursued Asian studies.

 

Rick Smith, Founding Principal, Bay Resource Corporation

Rick is a Founding Principal at Bay Resource Corporation, a private investment firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Rick has been with Bay Resource since 1983, overseeing the firm’s activities and financing/developing the operating businesses it owns.  He is a former consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and a former Assistant Professor at Yale University.  He has a MBA from Harvard Business School and a PhD and Bachelor’s degree from Yale University.
